Sometimes I think we are protected by the universe when we don’t get what we want, as it allows space for the time needed to move in the direction which is actually a better fit for us. Beautiful and thoughtfully said Colin. Thank you.
A friend passed your post along. Great writing. One day, when that room calls out to you for an hour, I hope you consider my challenge. You are a natural winner.
Reading this beautiful essay I’m reminded of the way the Aymara people
in the Andes perceive time and the way they describe it linguistically. The past is “in front” of you because it is known and visible and can be seen whereas the future is “behind” you because it is unknown and cannot be seen. Life is this dance between staying truly present and taking in the gifts of the now and resisting the urge to always turn around to try and predict or shape future, a futile yet always tempting endeavor. I so appreciate how you take what can be perceived as a superficial profession but bring to it so much greater depth through your reflections on beauty, presence, and just life in general. Indeed you have many many many layers and being able to express your thoughts so eloquently is one of them. 🙏🏽
Okay I was already obsessed with your styling skills. Now I am officially obsessed with your writing. The wanting crave is real. Working to shift and see the sunlight streaming through the window and be content in the moment + the miracle. :):)
You are the best thing on the internet. Makes my day!

Yes, absolutely. Sometimes man’s rejection is truly God’s protection. Thank you for the kind words.
Your words are raw poetry. Thank you!
